For those of us celebrating the Jewish New Year, this is a bittersweet time. As we gather with our loved ones, we know that so many around us have little to celebrate. I am thinking of families in the Gaza Strip, struggling to survive amidst the death and destruction and famine of this horrible war. And I am thinking of the hostages spending another New Year in Hamas captivity. None of us know what the new year will bring. But one thing I do know: whatever happens, the staff at HaMoked will be here, providing assistance to thousands of people to alleviate suffering and secure basic rights. We will also continue with our principled litigation to hold Israel to account, and demand respect for its legal obligations. We can’t do this without your help. If you have not already done so, please consider making a donation to HaMoked so that we can continue our work. For all those celebrating, I wish a sweet new year for you and your family. And for everyone, I wish a speedy end to this war and a return of the hostages. May this be a year of renewed commitment to rights and justice for all. Sincerely,
