HCJ 7984/11 - HaMoked: Center for the Defence of the Individual v. Israel Prison Service Petition for Order Nisi

HaMoked’s petition against the inhuman conditions under which Palestinian detainees are held at the Petah Tikva detention facility. Holding conditions in the facility fall short of minimum requirements under international law and fail to meet obligations stipulated by Israeli law. The petition is based on affidavits by some 100 Palestinians who were held in the facility for ISA interrogations in late 2008 and early 2009. The petition includes descriptions of the disgraceful conditions in which the detainees are held.
