HCJ 1437/02 - The Association for Civil Rights in Israel et al. v. Minister of Public Security et al. Judgment

The judgment by the High Court of Justice that nullified, by majority opinion, Section 29(b) of the Prisons Regulations, which authorizes the Prisons Service to prevent a prisoner form meeting with his attorney. The Court led that, in the absence of express and specific primary legislation prohibiting such meeting, the regulation infringes the prisoner’s fundamental right to counsel and to meet with counsel.
