On June 21, 2017, the state filed a
lawsuit against the widow and four orphaned children of the man who carried out an attack at Armon HaNatziv Neighborhood in Jerusalem, in which four soldiers were killed. The state is suing his heirs – his widow and children – for injuries to life and limb caused by the attack.
This is another in a succession of vindictive steps taken by the state against the family: first, a few days after the attack, the Ministry of Interior announced his draconic
plan to revoke the status in Israel of several family members, although they were not involved in the attack; later, in March 2017, the military sealed the family home in Jabal al Mukabber.
