On June 15, 2016, the military issued a punitive demolition order for the home in which lives the family of a young man, the suspect in an attack against Israelis in Tel Aviv on June 8, 2016.
On June 19, 2016, HaMoked submitted to the military an
objection to the intended demolition of the family’s home.
HaMoked asserted that as the youth had been living in Jordan finishing his third year in university, the decision to demolish his parents’ home in the West Bank was clearly unbalanced. HaMoked emphasized that this wrongful decision would harm the lives of nine innocent people, seven of them children and the invalid father suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
HaMoked demanded to receive the investigation materials underlying the military’s decision, and also the details of the planned demolition – given that the targeted apartment is on the second floor of a two-storey residential building.
