HaMoked to the court: instruct the police to return the computers it seized from an East Jerusalem resident, banned from his city and the West Bank

On December 10, 2014, the police arrived at the home of an East Jerusalem resident who had recently been ordered away from his city and from the West Bank, and seized several computers he owned. Acting on behalf of the man, HaMoked contacted the military – which had issued the removal orders – and demanded the property's return.

On April, 16, 2015, the military announced that the police was about to notify the man that he could go to the police station and pick up the seized equipment. As time passed by without any such notice, HaMoked sent the military several reminders but received no answer.

Therefore, on May 25, 2015, HaMoked submitted to the Jerusalem Magistrate Court a Request for the Return of Confiscated Property, asking that the police be instructed to return the man's property within 48 hours. The court directed the state to submit its response by June 1, 2015, and scheduled the case for review on the following day. (02) 627 1698   (02) 627 6317
