Revealed following HaMoked's petition: a Palestinian man last seen bleeding close to Israeli soldiers, has apparently died and his body is held by Israel

On March 24, 2015, the military delivered its response to HaMoked's inquiry about the bodies held by Israel of fatalities from the Gaza Strip. According to the military's response, Israel holds 19 bodies of Palestinians from "Operation Protective Edge" and the Rabbinate Corps has data that might facilitate the identification of the bodies, though no positive identification has been carried out.

On April 15, 2015, HaMoked petitioned the court for a writ of habeas corpus for the Palestinian youth last seen in the summer of 2014 in Rafah, lying on the ground, bleeding, close to Israeli soldiers. HaMoked recalled the basic obligation of respect to the dead, and stressed that Israel must give the missing person's family whatever information it had about him.

On April 19, 2015, the Ministry of Defense notified HaMoked that the youth most likely was killed in an encounter with the military and buried in Israel in the cemetery of enemy combatants. Following the defence ministry's notification, the state held that the petition was now moot. HaMoked agreed to the petition's deletion.
