HCJ 1472/14 - Khalil et al. v. State of Israel et al. Respondents' Updating Notice

The State's notice to the Court stating that the Ministry of Interior decided to enable the continued residency in Israel, pursuant to temporary military permits, of the widow of a resident of East Jerusalem who was at risk of deportation following her husband's death. Her status having been resolved, the State requests the petition's withdrawal.

Following HaMoked's petition: Israel will not deport a childless Palestinian widow, although under interior ministry protocols, she has no “sponsor” for remaining in Israel
