HCJ 5295/14 Abu 'Ayesha and others v. Military Commander of Judea and Samaria Area Respondent's Response

State's response to HaMoked's petition against the military's intended punitive demolition of an apartment in Hebron in which lived the family of one of the suspects in the abduction and killing of three Israeli youths. The state claims that the demolition is vital for deterrence and that there is no room for court intervention; further, that the argument that the state has made extraneous considerations, such as revenge over the abduction, must be wholly dismissed . Finally, the state updates that it intends to demolish only the exterior walls of the apartment "without causing damage to the roof and the support pillars".
