HCJ 4597/14 - 'Awawdeh et al. v. West Bank Military Commander Judgment

Judgment of the High Court of Justice in HaMoked's petition against the military's intention to partially demolish a residential building where the nuclear family of a suspected assailant lives. The justices accept the state's claim and rule that the purpose of house demolition is "not to punish but rather to deter". Nonetheless, the court rules that the demolition order should not be carried out before twelve hours elapse from the publication of this judgment; and that the military must first consider the two engineer opinions submitted by HaMoked.
