HCJ 4597/14 - 'Awawdeh et al. v. West Bank Military Commander Respondent's Response

The state's response in HaMoked's petition against the military's intention to partially demolish a house in Idna village where a suspected assailant's family lives. The state claims that in the three months preceding the petition, there has been a rise in the number of attempts to carry out severe attacks, and that the demolition's aim is deterrence and not punishment. The state recalls that it partially accepted HaMoked's earlier objection, and so revised its initial intention and decided to demolish only that part of the house where the suspect had lived, leaving his brother's apartment and warehouses intact.
