Ministry of Interior’s Response to HaMoked’s freedom-of-information application: operation of the special humanitarian committee

Response by the Ministry of Interior to HaMoked's request under the Freedom of Information Law for data regarding the operation of the Special Humanitarian Committee of the Ministry of Interior. The response is partial - the Ministry claims it has no information regarding the dates of the Committee's hearings, and that information requested by HaMoked regarding the professional training of the Committee members is not "'information' according to its definition in the Freedom of Information Law". The Ministry of Interior states that since its creation, the Committee approved 138 requests and rejected 421. Additionally, the Ministry notes that the Minister of Interior has thus far accepted all of the Committee's recommendations, and the average processing time of requests is a year.
