HCJ 9084/10 - Khallu et al. v. Military commander of the West Bank Area et al. Preliminary Response to the Petition on behalf of the Respondents

Preliminary response by the state's attorney to HaMoked's petition to instruct the military to update the addresses of three minors from the West Bank in its copy of the Palestinian population registry. The state's attorney claims that the petition is null, because Israel decided, "as part of a political gesture, to approve the settlement in Judea and Samaria, and as such - the change of address, of 5,000 Palestinians whose registered address is in the Gaza Strip, who live in Judea and Samaria, including 3,300 Palestinians whose registered address is in Gaza, who reside in Judea and Samaria and entered it through the 'safe passage' prior to the year 2,000". The state's attorney suggests that the petitioners submit a request to change their address as part of the gesture.
