According to the procedure, if there is a criminal or security block precluding approval of the request, the Ministry of Interior will first notify the applicants that it is considering refusing theirs request, and only after the couple has had an opportunity to respond via a written hearing, will the Ministry refuse the request via a reasoned letter of refusal.

After three years, two administrative relief applications and one court petition: the Ministry of Interior approves a family unification application of an East Jerusalem resident and his West Bank wife
Following HaMoked's letter: Palestinians whose family unification applications are slated for rejection on security grounds will receive an oral hearing (02) 627 1698   (02) 627 6317
