Basic Principles for the Treatment of Prisoners

The principles state, inter alia, that all prisoners shall be treated with respect, their religious needs shall be satisfied as far as practicable, that holding them in isolation shall be prevented as far as practicable, that they be given access to medical services as customary in the country.
