HCJ 48/89 Issa v. Population Administration Regional Bureau in East Jerusalem – Ministry of Interior

The HCJ rules that granting an ID number to the daughter of a resident of Jerusalem and a resident of the territories is contingent on determining her status as a permanent resident of Israel. The HCJ accepts the petition, instructing the Minister of Interior to consider, as required by the regulations, to grant the daughter equal status to her mother.
