HCJ 8155/06 Association for Civil Rights in Israel et al. v. IDF Commander in the Judea and Samaria Area Request on Behalf of the Petitioners for Reexamination of the Request for Interim Order
A motion for reexamination of the request to prevent the deterioration of the state of persons precluded from travel abroad from the West Bank via interim order. The petitioners claim that the new procedure injures persons precluded from travel who have been turned back at the Allenby Bridge. Previously, such persons could file a written objection to the preclusion with the military and receive a timely response. This procedure is now blocked and they must, under the new procedure, physically report to the DCO for further processing and wait for weeks and months. Written appeals are permitted only in exceptional humanitarian circumstances.
